Fresh Start Every Day

The face of homelessness and poverty has changed in the past few years. Individuals, families and youth have been devastated by high unemployment, loss of health care, family support and poor life choices. Federal and local safety nets have collapsed or disappeared.

Fresh Start STL's goal is to provide a helping hand up; to offer those who have been rejected, devastated and dismissed as valueless an opportunity to regain their dignity, self-esteem and become a partner in reshaping their own destiny.

We believe in Giving Back to help the work of this wonderful organization, right here in St. Louis. Won't you join us?

I am lucky enough to watch Steve, Beth and Larry bring smiles to dogs and their owners most Saturdays at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market. They offer samples of organic, raw diet based dog treats. These products come to us through employment offered to individuals who have been given a chance of a Fresh Start.

This organization's mission includes: End Homelessness by providing employment, preparing exceptional pet food; providing a link to a network of affordable housing, individual mentoring and social services support for individuals who have experienced homelessness.  A FRESH START! 

Prepare exceptional high quality, natural protein food for dogs and cats that improves their health and prolongs a “High Quality of Life”.  A FRESH START!

Additionally, Fresh Start STL is creating an environment where the individuals they help become co-journeyers as equal partners in the experience of transforming lives.

Their partners benefit through dependable employment, access to housing, and life skills mentoring.  All partners are asked to “Pay it Forward” to others beyond their program. Volunteers and participants learn poverty is not a choice.  It has a face, a soul and desire to improve one’s life. 

If you would like to learn more about this work to transform lives, join us Thursday, Sept 15 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a Meet and Greet Event at our store. Members of Fresh Start STL will join us and bring samples of their treats for your four-legged family members!
