Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) grows in the tropical dry forests of the Pacific coast of South America. The name in Spanish means "Holy Wood". For thousands of years, the wood, resin, and oil have been used for medicinal purposes. It’s mainly used to treat pain and stress. It’s also said to clear negative energy, although there isn’t a lot of scientific proof behind these benefits. Additionally, palo santo is widely used to repel mosquitos. It’s also said to deter ants, termites, and flies.

This candle holder is ready to gleam like a campfire in desert night. Recycled bottles are smashed into pieces and melted in high temperature ovens. In Phoenician glass blowing, artisans add substances to the molten glass, creating a range of colors within each piece. Working with this process takes an especially skilled hand, and is reserved for the true masters of the art. Each piece has its own unique blend of color and pattern.
