Our linen runner is designed to create an interplay of colors. Three yarn colors are hand-dyed and then strung in a combination on the warp and weft. Hand weaving different thread colors into patterns is a much more laborious process than weaving with a single color, but so worth it! You'll love this heirloom piece.

- Materials: 100% flax linen* (natural fiber from the flax plant that is strong, durable and breathable. Highly absorbent, flax linen gets softer and more luxurious with use); Azo-free, low-impact dyes.
- Dimensions: 14 in. X 72 in., and 14 in. X 90 in.
- Care: Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. Tumble dry low

Flax linen is considered a sustainable material because of the flax plant's many characteristics, including:
- Water: Flax requires little water, especially compared to cotton, and can thrive in harsh conditions. It doesn't require irrigation, and it can use rainwater.
- Pesticides: Flax is pest-resistant and doesn't need pesticides or fertilizers.
- Soil: Flax root remnants fertilize and clean the soil.
- Carbon footprint: Flax retains 3.7 tons of CO2 per hectare per year.
- Biodegradability: Untreated or naturally dyed linen is biodegradable.
- Longevity: Linen can last for centuries.
- Ocean impact: Natural fibers like flax don't harm ocean life.
