- Handmade in Guatemala
- Materials: responsibly harvested caro caro wood*
- Dimensions: 12 in. X 10 in. X 1 in.
- CARE: These boards improve over time as oil from foods and hands help season them. Over time, the fibers of the wood may lift due to cutting, soap or over soaking. To smooth, use fine grit sandpaper then oil your board with food-safe wood oil. Avoid foods that may stain wood such as wine, beets, etc. Wash with warm water; avoid harsh detergents.
*Enterolobium cyclocarpum, commonly known as guanacaste, caro caro, or elephant-ear tree, is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae, that is native to tropical regions of the Americas.
With every product you purchase, you are helping provide employment, educational opportunities and medical care to artisans in Guatemala.
