Prosperity Totas are hand stitched, stuffed, beaded and strung together by women artisans in India. According to legend, the bell attached to each Bell Tota is supposed to keep away malevolent spirits and confer good luck upon a household when hung in a doorway or window. Colors will vary. These fans are made from river grass, known as "elephant grass" by local weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana.  The leather handles are wrapped in goat skin for comfort and durability. The leather is naturally tanned using local seeds and red millet.

The modern design in the natural raffia and rust colors lend it to shining brightly in a boho wall installation, or as a unique tabletop catch‒all. The interior fiber forming the core of each coil is banana fiber, around which raffia palm is wrapped.
